Verizon Finally Releases EV-DO Rev. A PC Card, The AirCard

vzwreva.jpgEven though Verizon yelled at us last week telling us that it already had a Rev. A EV-DO network up and running in a few "communities," today marks the debut of the first PC card that's compatible with the network. The AirCard 595 comes to us from Sierra Wireless and will set you back a cool $100 after rebate. That's not exactly cheap, but if need to upload large files from the comfort of a park bench or somewhere else where there's no Wi-Fi around, Rev. A should come to the rescue. Sprint has had Rev. A cards for several months now, so it's about time Verizon got its act together. You should be able to find the AirCard 595 in retail stores by mid-January.
